Michael Robert Byrnes

Age 60, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on January 23, 2012. Our beloved Irishman was born January 16, 1952 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated in 1970 from Cretin High School. After graduation he attended the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1976. He worked for the USDA for 30 years, retiring in 2009. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Kay (Larson) Byrnes, his nephew Matthew Hynek, his sister Claire Lonn and brother-in-law Bert Lonn. He is survived by his wife Cathie, his two-step children Jacqueline (Doug) Julien and Joshua (Jada) Greenwood, his two sisters, Kathy (Mike) McLaughlin, Judy (Jerry) Hynek, 5 grandchildren (Sawyer and Logan Julien, Braeden, Elizabeth and Brody Greenwood), 2 nephews (Jeff and Todd McLaughlin), a niece (Ann Hynek) and many other family and friends. Funeral Service 11AM Friday, January 27, 2012 at White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave. Apple Valley, MN. Visitation Thursday 6-8pm and one hour prior to service.
