Khanh Le
(May 20, 1929 – August 4, 2012)
Le, Khanh passed away on 8/4/2012 at the age of 83. Preceded in death by his loving wife, CamDung and survived by his children Trang, Thanh, Thang, Thong and their families. He was known as a painter, a sculptor, a calligrapher, a poet and a writer, but above everything else, he was a caring and loving husband and our beloved father. We were his world, his source of pain and pride, his source of heartaches and sorrow but also his source of happiness and joy. He made sacrifices that others could not, to help making sure there is food on the table and clothes on our back, and that we learn to live right and respect others, and that the world can be a bit less intimidating because he is always there for each and every single one of us. He was no Monet or Picasso, but maybe if his emphasis was not always on his family his artistic trajectory could have been much closer to his talent and potential. We will miss him always. May he unite with the love of his life, and may they be happy together eternally in the afterlife.
