Virgil F. Odette age 83, of Farmington, passed away on January 23, 2013 at the Red Wing Care Center. Virgil was born in Hazelwood, MN on May 29, 1929. Virgil and Delphine farmed in rural Farmington for 48 years. He is preceded in death by his daughters, Dianne Odette and Beverly Deutsch; parents, Fredrick and Laura (nee: Duffney) Odette; siblings, Theresa (Al) Lewendowski, Addis ‘Sis’ (Fred) Jeno, Arnold (Lois) Odette, Delores (Jack) Pearson and Bill Odette. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Delphine ‘Del’ (nee: Chlan) Odette; children, Steve (Tammy), Carol (Alan) Bengen, Grace Odette, Lisa (Rod) Oberg, and Gayle (Fred) Durand; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; siblings, Dalena ‘Babe’ York, Valora (Milton) Moravec and Patsy (Obert) Flikke; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday, January 25, 2013 at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 22120 Denmark Ave., Farmington with visitation on Thursday, (Jan, 24) from 4-8 PM at the White Funeral Home, 901 3rd St. Farmington (651 463 7374) and 1 HR prior to Mass at Church. Private interment will take place at St. Mathias Church cemetery in Hampton. Memorials will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
