It has been said that there is no greater pain than the death of a loved one . The emotions of grief are complex yet normal. However, for those of us who have experienced a death it is not often clear what is normal and what is not. In our faithful effort to serve you, we feel it is important to continue to help you not only face the reality of death but to help you work toward a healthful resolution of your grief. Toward that end, we invite you to meet and hear Richard J. Obershaw, a renowned grief expert. Mr. Obershaw is the founder, director and full-time psychotherapist at the Grief Center in Lakeville and Golden Valley. He has degrees in psychology, mortuary science and a master’s degree in social work. He also lectures nationally and internationally to professional, corporate and lay groups on various relevant social and psychological topics. As a member of our staff, Mr .Obershaw provides grief education and support, special lectures to groups and group tours of the funeral home facilities. You, your family and friends are encouraged and cordially invited to attend our monthly grief support group sessions. This is part of our continuing care and concern for you and there is no charge. Meetings are held monthly. Enclosed is the 2007 Grief Support Group calendar as well as the meeting place and directions. Our goal is to provide every family we serve with the information, knowledge and experience that can allow them to recognize, understand and deal with their grief. We have seen the value of these Grief Support sessions in helping so many to the healthful resolution of their grief. Please come.
