Alan D. Morphew, age 87 of Lakeville, was born on October 4, 1930 in Normal, ILL to Herbert and Geraldine Morphew, he passed away on October 22, 2017. Alan graduated in 1948 from Central High School in St. Paul, MN. He proudly served his country in the US Air National Guard for 10 years and was called to duty during the Korean War. He then flew for North Central/Republic Airlines for 30 years before his retirement. Alan is also a member of the American Legion Post 1776 in Apple Valley. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce (Roger) Livermore. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, JoAnn; children, Dale, Dean (Patricia), David (Theresa), Peter (Mary), Bruce (Jeri) Morphew; 8 grandchildren and sister, Gloria Jean (Lee) Mason, also by other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at White Funeral Home Chapel, 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley (952-432-2001) with visitation 1 hr. prior to service. Private interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials will be donated to Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing or Highview Hills.
