Alleen Enid
Tofting Wicktor
Apr 12, 1934 — Apr 17, 2026
Alleen Enid Tofting Wicktor
Alleen was born on April 12, 1934 in Saint Cloud, MN, to Alvin and Doris Tofting. During her childhood the family also lived in Sauk Rapids, MN, and Williston, ND. She graduated from Saint Cloud Technical High School in 1952 and loved participating in marching band and making curly Q's working at the Dairy Queen. She then attended Saint Cloud State Teacher's College. While there, she met Gerald Wicktor of Princeton. They were married June 29, 1957, at Saint James Episcopal Church in Minneapolis and began life together in Saint Paul. Alleen worked for the University of Minnesota Hospital as an EEG technician.
She and Jerry moved to Bloomington, joined Hope Presbyterian Church, and welcomed daughter Lisa. In 1969 the family moved to Farmington and welcomed son Eric. Alleen worked for Empire Township, Faith United Methodist Church, and Dakota County. They joined First United Presbyterian Church where Alleen was ordained as both Ruling Elder and Deacon. They later transferred their membership to Farmington Lutheran Church. She was an active volunteer in Farmington, serving at the food shelf, the library, the senior center, the hospital auxiliary, her churches, and the bloodmobile, among other places. She was a 14 gallon blood donor.
Alleen loved reading, sewing, the OWLS group, the woodcarving group, the painting group, and her many friends at 31, Bingo, and Rummikub. She was an avid seeker of her family's genealogy. Her friendly, curious, and helpful disposition will be missed by many.
Alleen received the gift of eternal life on April 17, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Donna and Lois; her husband Jerry; and her granddaughter-in-law, Allison. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa, and husband, Michael Johnson of Carrollton, Texas; son, Eric, and wife Jennifer Wicktor of Pine City, Minnesota; and five extravagantly loved grandchildren: Charlie and Will Johnson, and Jolie, Tanner, and Spencer Wicktor.
There will be a Memorial Service for Alleen at Farmington Lutheran Church on July 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with a Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
