Angela Lynn-Kane
Haas
Sep 28, 1975 — Apr 5, 2025
Burnsville
Angela Lynn Haas (Kane), age 49, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her savior Jesus Christ at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Saturday, April 5th, 2025.
Angela was born on September 28th, 1975, in Sauk Centre, Minn., to Robert and Gail (Gamradt) Kane. Angela was united in marriage on October 18th, 2003, to Christopher Haas at St. Edwards church in Bloomington, Minn. Their marriage was blessed with two children, daughter Jacqueline Abigail and son Dominic Joseph.
Angela graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1994 with Valedictorian Honors and was awarded the title of Miss Sauk Centre 1994. She attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated in 1998 with a BA in Accounting. It was at St. Thomas where she met her future husband, Chris, and formed a lifelong bond with 13 of her closest girlfriends – "The Tommie Girls" – who remain close to this day. As an undergraduate, Angela studied abroad in England for a semester and found a special affinity for London, where she would return as a graduate student and again with her family and friends. She completed her Master's degree at the University of St. Thomas in 2010.
Angela spent the first chapter of her working career at Carlson Companies from 1998 to 2001, traveling the globe with the internal audit team. In 2001 she joined the family trucking business, Kane Transport Inc., where she led the company as CFO until its sale in 2019. She was involved in board member level activities throughout the trucking industry, serving as treasurer of the National Tank Truck Carriers in Washington D.C. She was also a board member and executive committee member for the Minnesota Trucking Association and board member for the River Heights Chamber of Commerce.
Her fondest memories were spending time at the family lake house in Alexandria with Chris, her children, extended family, and friends. Angela was her children's biggest cheerleader and loved attending their school activities and sporting events. She actively volunteered at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School as a Junior Achievement coordinator, Scholastic Book Fair coordinator, and Home & School Association board member. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels as a treasurer. Angela found great comfort in her faith and was an active parishioner at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Eagan.
As Angela reflected on her long battle with cancer, she chose to share this message:
"My journey has been a blessing in disguise. My illness has helped me refocus on my family and helped reignite my faith in God and adherence to his Word. It's hard to be humble and ask for help but I loved being a vessel that helps people be their best selves when they help me. When I die, I will not have lost my battle with cancer but I will have won because I will be free of it and with my Lord."
Angela is survived by her husband, Chris Haas, daughter Jacqueline, and son Dominic of Burnsville; mother Gail Kane of Sauk Centre; brothers Peter Kane and his wife, Ellen, of Inver Grove Heights; Patrick Kane of Sauk Centre; nieces and nephews Nora, Claire, Connor, Blake, and Natalie; mother-in-law Pat Haas of Eagan; in-laws Scott and Katie Haas of Prior Lake; and a host of relatives, friends, and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Kane.
Pallbearers are Peter Kane, Patrick Kane, Scott Haas, Brian Mullen, Gregory Huot, Benjamin Fenger and Dennis Wenzel. Honorary Pallbearers are "The Tommie Girls."
