ERSFELD, ARTHUR D., Jr. Age 84, of Rosemount, passed away on February 1, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Ersfeld, Sr. and Helen (nee Swedin) Ersfeld; siblings, Helen May (nee Ersfeld) Peterson, Ralph Ersfeld, John Ersfeld, Darlene (nee Ersfeld) Cochrane; and son-in-law, Haans Vitek. Arthur was born in Northfield, MN. His family later moved to their final home in Farmington, MN, where he attended school and church. He proudly served in the Army as an MP (Military Police) for three years and then for several years in the Army Reserves. After the Army, he worked for multiple construction companies. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing (all seasons), camping, woodworking, cars, bowling, and gambling in Las Vegas and Laughlin during his retirement years. One of his proudest moments was bowling a '300', earning his award ring. He relaxed watching football, bowling, old westerns, sci-fi shows and movies.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Margaret (nee Olson); daughter, Jody (RJ) Vitek, son, Troy (Kathy) Ersfeld; brother, Ronald Ersfeld; grandchildren, Andrew (Kiana) Vitek, Ashley (Lauren) Sollman-Vitek, Alex Vitek, Trevor Ersfeld; and many other relatives and friends.

Arthur will be laid to rest with honors at Fort Snelling Cemetery, family only, on Thursday, March 20, 2025. A celebration of life will follow at 1 PM at the Farmington VFW, 421 3rd St, Farmington, MN.
