Obituary

Betty Lea Huddock (nee Washeck) was born on April 14, 1942 in Purdy, MO and went to her eternal home on June 23, 2025. Betty was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher and friend. Betty was the beloved daughter of Lorena and James Washeck.

Betty was a shining light to all who knew and loved her. She was the shepherd who always went after the lost sheep of the herd. Her journey on earth was marked by compassion, love, commitment, and her unwavering faith to her God. Her passing has left a large void in those she touched: her husband of 63 years, 5 children, 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, family and friends. We ask that you remember Betty for the life she lived. She embraced her life of faith, husband and family first.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, John Huddock, her 5 children: Deborah Ann Muszynski, John D. Huddock Jr.(Sue), James Huddock (Julie), Jennifer Alexander, and Michael D. Huddock (Ann), her 14 grandchildren: Samuel and Charles Muszynski (Deborah Muszynski), Nicholas Elsenpeter, Benjamin and Abby Huddock (John D. Huddock Jr.), Hailey, Alexander, and Kevin Huddock (James Huddock), Lucas and Kaylin Alexander (Jennifer Alexander), Mikaela, Jace, Jaeger, and Miley Huddock (Michael Huddock). Betty was also greatly blessed by 3 great grandchildren, Carter and Kaliya Huddock (Mikaela Horwitz), and Isla Elsenpeter (Nick Elsenpeter).

Betty was raised in St. Louis, MO. She met her beloved husband John, and they were married on 1-6-61. She lived in St. Louis and then moved to Minnesota in 1977, where she resided for the remainder of her life. She lived a life of large family dinners and gatherings, boating, skiing, and hosting numerous family celebrations, holiday gatherings, and school activities. Spending much of her time with John on their boats, and planning activities for her grandchildren were her greatest joys. Her children and her grandchildren were her life.

Although Betty is no longer here physically to grace our lives, her spirit lives strong in all of us. She continues to uplift and inspire us. May her memory be a blessing and may we carry forth her commitment to faith and love of family in our own lives. Your light will shine forever in our hearts dear Betty.
