Carol Ann Snyder, age 88 of Rosemount passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 14, 2025.Preceded in death by siblings: Joyce (Virgil) Sis. Survived by her children: Gregory (Nina), Mary (Bob) Brenberg, Julie (Bud) Munger, Lauri Schneider, Tony (Denise), and Dan (Rebecca); grandchildren: Nicole, Jessica, Aaron, Brian, Jackie, Theresa, Tommy, Joshua, Bo, Alissa, Jacob, Jared, Gregory, Alex, Caleb, Dyan, Amanda, Rachel, Anthony, Matthew, William, and Emily; 42 beloved great grandchildren: siblings: Kathy Gilsdorf, Tony (Wanda) Gilsdorf, Patricia Gilsdorf (David Peteet), and Keith (Peg) Gilsdorf; also by other loving family and friends.
Carol was born July 2, 1936, in Collis, MN. The first of six children of Clarence and Frances Gilsdorf. She grew up helping out on the farm, learning to sew and developing a love for music and a deep faith for the Catholic Church.
In 1956, Carol married Wayne Snyder. They had six children; Greg, Mary, Julie, Lauri, Tony, and Dan and settled in Apple Valley in 1967. Carol worked at Westview Elementary School for fifteen years and then - at age 50 - graduated from college, became an RN and worked at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis for over ten years.
Carol had a passion for travel that spanned the globe. Germany, France, Ireland, Sweden, Belgium, Prague, Egypt, Spain
But most precious to Carol was her family. Six children, their spouses, 22 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren, gave her great joy, and filled her heart with abundant love. With them and her strong faith and love in Jesus, she knew she was indeed blessed.
Mass of Christian Burial, 11am Friday, May 23, 2025, at St Josephs Catholic Church, Rosemount, MN.
Memorial visitation from 5-8pm Thursday, May 22, 2025 at White Funeral Home (14560 Pennock Ave) Apple Valley and one hour prior to the service at church on Friday from 10 -11 am.
