Obituary

Carolyn Lee (Isham) Otto age 82 of Lakeville, MN, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in Weatherford, TX. She was born on July 30, 1943, in Commanche, TX.

Survived by husband Dwight Otto, children; Brenda (Dan) McMenomy, Victor (Sandy) Otto, and John (Jay) (Cindy) Otto. 23 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many other close relatives and friends. Siblings; Ricky (Rosalie) Isham, Tony Ellis, Kathy Young, Sherry Melillo, and Emil Debusdevalempre. Preceded in death by parents; David Isham and Vera Young, sister; Mary Debusdevalempre, brothers; Johnny Isham and Tommy Isham.

Carolyn was truly one of a kind. An unforgettable soul whose warmth and generosity touched everyone she met. She married Dwight, the love of her life, on March 15, 1966. They spent countless cherished miles traveling cross-country together, whether in the company truck or on vacations to visit friends and family. Carolyn's greatest joy came from being surrounded by those she loved. She was the most devoted wife, a nurturing and supportive mother, and a proud, adoring grandmother.

Her presence was a constant at her grandchildren's sporting events, theater performances and school events. Always the loudest cheerleader in the stands and the most radiant smile in the crowd. Carolyn's vibrant spirit came alive during family gatherings, where she never arrived without her signature homemade chocolate cake, an expected and treasured tradition. She cherished her time with her "sister" Nancy and adored her family as if they were her own kids. She relished time at the casino, family game nights, loved listening to country music, and could always be found on the dance floor when the right song played. She was the life of the party, full of laughter and light.

Carolyn had an extraordinary gift for making others feel seen and welcomed. She never met a stranger, only friends she hadn't spoken to yet. Her kindness, warmth, and joy for life will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.

To know her was to love her.
