With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Joseph Kertis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Rosemount, Minnesota. Charlie joined our Lord on November 28, 2025, at the age of ninety-four. His wife Cora of over 71 years preceded him in death in February of 2025. He is survived by his daughters Char (Tom) Bumol, Laurie (Dave) Sullivan and Lynette Kertis. He was a loving grandfather to his three grandsons- Joel (Danielle) Bumol, Stefan (Elia) Bumol, and Aaron (Brittany) Lomicka and a loving great-grandfather to Jude, Levi, Scottie, Micah, Elowyn, and Callie. Charlie was also cherished by his many close friends in the Twin Cities, metropolitan Detroit, Mt. Olive, Illinois, Savannah, GA and Corner Brook, Newfoundland.

Charlie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for over 60 years where he was a volunteer there and a member of the Knights of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rosemount. Mass offerings for the repose of his soul would also be appreciated. Visitation will be on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St Joseph Catholic Church (13900 Biscayne Ave West, Rosemount, MN 55068) prior to his Catholic Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.
