Obituary

Charlotte Elaine Brolsma was born June 18, 1932, to Herman and Josephine (Faber) Brolsma in Sherburn, Minnesota, the youngest of 5 children. She was baptized on September 4, 1933 and made public confession of her faith at her confirmation on April 4, 1946, both at St John's Lutheran Church in Sherburn. She graduated June 2, 1950 from Sherburn High School.

On May 14, 1955, Charlotte married Harold Wieben of Faribault, MN at St John's Lutheran Church in Sherburn, MN by Rev L. H. Ruthenbeck.

Charlotte and Harry lived and worked in Mankato MN after marrying and before moving to Farmington, MN in 1956. They raised 5 children in Farmington: Kathy, Jody, Barbara, David and Scott. Harry worked for Koch Refinery in Rosemount for 33 years and Charlotte was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 30+ years at Trinity Care Center in Farmington. Charlotte loved working with the elderly and was a great example of loving and caring for others, she truly found her work rewarding and enjoyable.

Charlotte was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Farmington since 1956, singing in the choir, serving with the LWML, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and various other activities in the church, including "working in the church fairstand" for many years. Charlotte loved her church family as well as her neighbors, now some long-time friends. She enjoyed her "Church Ladies" lunches, visiting friends and family, attending many grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's activities and sporting events, senior groups travels, trips, adventures and dances, and sitting on the patio spring, summer and fall with an iced or hot tea shared with friends and family. Charlotte and Harry, and family, were summer "up north" campers for years before enjoying resort vacations in Northern Minnesota.

Charlotte was a family fan, supporting her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkid's sports teams for many years, as well as attending dance recitals, band and choir concerts and lots of Grandparent's Days. She cheered for and enjoyed the local professional teams too, Minnesota Twins, Vikings and Wild teams.

Harold died on September 28, 2003. Charlotte continued to live in her home in Farmington until her move to Three Links Care Center in Northfield in November 2021. Charlotte was called to her eternal rest on Sunday afternoon, January 19, 2025 at Three Links Care Center at the age of 92 years.
