Konze, Cheryl A.

Age 76, of Burnsville, passed away April 2, 2025. Preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, and loving parents, Harold and Arlene.

Cheryl was born in Minneapolis and raised in Richfield with her six siblings, graduating from Richfield High School in 1967. After attending the University of Minnesota, she dedicated her career to the insurance industry and retired from Riverport Insurance. She was highly respected by her colleagues.

But more than anything, Cheryl was devoted to her family and friends. Her nieces and nephews were a particular source of pride and joy for her.

In her free time, Cheryl enjoyed traveling with her husband, friends, and family. Steve and Cheryl had a special fondness for road trips, putting many miles on the odometer as they toured throughout the country. They also shared a mutual love of music and movies, which carried over to her time at Arbor Lane, where she volunteered to organize Saturday afternoon movies for the residents.

Another hobby that Cheryl enjoyed during her retirement was genealogy. She was able to research 14 generations back and documented her work for her nieces and nephews.

Cheryl is survived by her siblings, Vicki Gertz, Greg (Alice) Gertz, Bill (Marisa) Gertz, Jackie Jensen, Kathy (Tim) Wise, and Laura (Scott) Wagner; her many beloved nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; Stepchildren Stephen Jr and Andrea; Godchildren; cherished cousins; and many dear friends.

Special thanks to the staff and residents of Arbor Lane, Cheryl felt especially cared for and loved there. We also extend our gratitude to the Minnesota Hospice staff for their care of her over the past few months.

Funeral service Saturday, April 19th at 11 am at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave So, Burnsville, MN 55337. Visitation one hour prior to service at 10 am. Burial will take place on Monday, April 21st, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Assembly Area #4, at 1:45 p.m. Memorials preferred to the donor's favorite charity.
