Clayton L. Thomas, 77, of Lakeville, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on October 4, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Lillian (Chlan); his sister, Corrine; and his sister-in-law, Deb.

Clayton is survived by his wife of 54 years, Cheryl; his son, Matt (Jackie); his grandchildren, Calvin and Miranda; his brothers, Ken (Mary Jo) and Keith Thomas; sisters-in-law, Hazel Schumann and Beverly Groth and also by nieces, nephews other loving family and friends.

Clayton loved farming and farmed throughout his life. He also enjoyed playing cards and dancing; it was at a dance 54 years ago that he met Cheryl. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 12, 2026, at 11 a.m. at White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Trail, Lakeville, MN 55044, officiated by Deacon Mike Daly. A memorial visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.

Clayton’s ashes will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in recognition of his service in the Army and National Guard.
