Cindy (Ehrhart) Hansen

It is with deep sorrow and everlasting love that we announce Cindy Hansen, age 69 recently of Apple Valley, MN passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Cindy was born on March 26, 1956, at the Marine Corps hospital in Cherry Point, NC. She spent her formative years in Evanston, IL and then moved with her family to West Des Moines, IA where she excelled in several athletic pursuits at Valley High School. She later attended Drake University where she played on the tennis team, joined Delta Gamma sorority, and met her husband, Dave Hansen. She built a successful 39-year career at West Publishing/Thomson Reuters where she took great pride in her work and more importantly the relationships she fostered.

Most of all, Cindy loved her family and friends. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a wonderful role model and a very strong, kind, and humble woman. Cindy enjoyed gardening, golf, traveling on girls' trips, volunteering at Hope Presbyterian Church and especially caring for her three precious grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Marlene Ehrhart. Cindy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dave; her children, Lindsay (Mike) Julius, and Kyle Hansen; her grandchildren, Claire, Hannah, and William; her siblings Steve (Julie) Ehrhart, Leanne (Dave) Beissenherz, and Mike (Jennifer) Ehrhart; and by many other loving family members and friends. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will take place at Hope Presbyterian Church on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 10am followed by a memorial service at 11am and luncheon immediately afterward. Private burial will take place at a later date. For those wishing to honor Cindy's memory, memorials preferred to Hope Presbyterian Church 7132 Portland Avenue S, Richfield, MN 55423.
