Obituary

Cynthia Ann Rudiger (Peters) August 18, 1944 – February 16, 2026

Cynthia (Cyndy) Ann Rudiger passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning, February 16, 2026, at Ridges Hospital, after a short illness.

Born August 18, 1944, Cyndy grew up in Minneapolis Minnesota with parents William and Charlotte Peters and sister Diane. The family cabin on Woman Lake in Longville, built by her father, was a special place that shaped much of her adventurous spirit. There, she delighted in working in the gardens with her dad, waterskiing, fishing, snowmobiling, and hosting lively hockey tournaments.

Cyndy was married to Richard Fuhrman for 25 years and lived in Bloomington Minnesota, where they raised their two children Bradley and Christine. Their home was a hub of activity, and they were surrounded by a strong circle of friends with whom they shared countless parties and memorable trips.

Later in life, Cyndy found many years of happiness and adventure with her second husband, Patrick Rudiger, in Hayward, Wisconsin. They recently owned and operated Twin Oaks Bar and Restaurant, a venture they tackled with enthusiasm. In Hayward, Cyndy continued to cultivate her passions, tending to her beloved gardens, sharing and enjoying the tranquility of the lake with family and friends, and relaxing on her favorite deck where she loved to watch the activity on the shore and spend time puzzling. She was known for her incredible creativity, especially evident in her beautiful needlepoint work.

A true animal lover, Cyndy's heart had a special place for her furry companions, where at one point she and Pat shared their home with four beloved rescue dogs.

Above all, Cyndy's greatest pride and joy were her cherished grandchildren.  She was their biggest fan, a proud hockey grandma who attended many games, celebrating their unique achievements and aspirations with boundless enthusiasm.

Cyndy was preceded in death by her devoted parents, William and Charlotte Peters and brother-in-law Robert Larson.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Patrick Rudiger; her children, Bradley Fuhrman (Heidi) and Christine Murray (Luke); her stepson, Dan Rudiger (Melanie) and her stepdaughter, Rachel Rudiger. Her memory will live on through her beloved grandchildren: Blake, Brenna, Lance, Lauryn, Mayra, Madeleine and Austin.

Also surviving are her sister, Diane Larson, and her nephews and their families: Bruce, Paul, Jeff, and Jim. She is remembered by her former husband, Richard Fuhrman, sister-in-law Linda McGuire, and nephew and niece, Brooke and Meghan. Cyndy also leaves behind an expansive network of friends who were like family, a testament to her warm and generous spirit.

Cyndy's zest for life, her creativity, and her boundless love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 2 from 4:00-7:00 at White Funeral Home (20134 Kenwood Trail) in Lakeville Minnesota.
