Dale J. Larson, age 78, of Farmington, passed away peacefully at his home on July 17, 2026.

Dale was preceded in death by his infant granddaughter, Lilly Larson, and his parents, James and Florence Larson.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Shari; his children, Darren Larson and his wife, Chan, and Jennifer Larson; his stepchildren, Chad Lichtsinn and his wife, Jennifer, Jason Lichtsinn and his wife, Nicole, Nathan Lichtsinn and his wife, Lindsay, and Sean Lichtsinn and his wife, Colleen; his cherished grandchildren, Dalea and Dylan, who lovingly knew him as "Papa," and Andrew, Trent, Evan, Sadie, Emma, William, Charlie, Francine, and Michelle, who affectionately called him "Grandpa"; two great-grandchildren; and his brother, Duane Larson and his wife, Sylvia.

Family was the center of Dale's life. He treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren and especially cherished being "Papa" to Dalea and Dylan and "Grandpa" to the rest of his beloved grandchildren. He had a lifelong passion for painting, and his home was filled with the artwork he lovingly created. Dale also enjoyed gardening and was well known for his quick wit, lovable sarcasm, and sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him.

Dale proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. His courage, service, and dedication to his country will always be remembered.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley, MN 55124. A memorial visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Dale will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
