Darlene F. Flagg, age 87, of Apple Valley Minnesota passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026. Darlene was born on March 21, 1939 in Wabasha MN to Harry and Alice (Golden) Hanson. She was married to Donald J. Flagg on October 14, 1960 in Minneapolis MN. Darlene ran a day care for many years and developed close personal relationships with the kids and their families, many of which she considered part of her family. Darlene was a very generous & giving person, she will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her. Her faith, family & love of children was a big part of who she was and she will be missed dearly by all.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Donald and her siblings George Bukovatz, Ann Garland, Kay Sivinski, Donald Hanson, Joe Hanson, Edith Swendra & Judy Westmoreland. Darlene is survived by her children, Kim (John) Rodriguez, Ronald (Jessica) Flagg, and Julie (Rick) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Bobby (Claudia) Dewane, Jamie (Chris) Dandl, and Matthew Flagg and many great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley, MN with a visitation starting at 9:30 AM. Luncheon to Follow at the Apple Valley American Legion, from 1:00 to 4:00 Address: 14521 Granada Dr, Apple Valley MN 55124

Darlene will be buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, with her husband, Donald.
