Deborah Lee Schnappauf, age 72, peacefully passed away in her sleep on May 29, 2026, in Burnsville, Minnesota.
Born on October 9, 1953, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Deborah lived a life marked by love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends. She was known for her creativity and caring spirit, finding joy in crafting, painting, gardening, completing puzzles, making homemade jelly, and pursuing many other hobbies. Deborah earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in the 1990s. After her nursing career, she dedicated much of her life to caring for her family. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, generosity, and gentle heart.
Deborah is survived by her daughter, Angela Schnappauf-Bickerton (Dale Bickerton); grandchildren, Mike Schnappauf and Makai Schnappauf; brothers, Doug Schnappauf, David Schnappauf, Brian Schnappauf (Kim), and Don Banks; sisters, Diana Morales (Gabe Morales) and Denise Banks (Rick DeVries); 11 nieces and nephews; 1 great-nephew; and her spirit sister and lifelong friend, Melody Colman (Danny).
She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Arron Lee Schnappauf; her father, LuVerne C. Schnappauf; her mother, Marla Jean Banks; and her brother, Blake Schnappauf.
One of Deborah's greatest joys was helping raise her grandchildren. For many years, she lovingly cared for her grandbabies, creating countless cherished memories and providing them with unwavering love and support. Those who knew Deborah will also fondly remember Friday nights at The Hexagon with her best friend, Melody. The makeup, the hairspray, the laughter, and the fun became treasured memories that brought smiles to everyone involved.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Avenue South, Burnsville, Minnesota, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
Following the service, family and friends will travel individually to the cemetery for a brief graveside service at 2151 Pilot Knob Road, Mendota Heights, Minnesota.
Deborah's family is grateful for all who have gathered to celebrate her life and honor her memory. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she enriched.
The family invites those who wish to join them for lunch following the cemetery service at Applebee's, 1335 Town Centre Drive, Eagan, as they continue to share memories and celebrate Deborah's life together.
