Obituary

Debra K. Halvorson, age 58, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on February 11, 2026.

She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Vetscher (Connor Flack) and Megan (Luke) Kriesel; her fiancé, Andy Michaelson; her mother, Nancy Cornair; and her brothers, David Tate (Sandy Bolin), Bryan Tate, and Rob Tate (Kelly).

She was preceded in death by her fathers, Gary Tate and Donald Haugland, and by her stepfather, Richard Cornair.

Debra lived her life with warmth, generosity, and a radiant spirit that made everyone feel welcome. She fought bravely through a nine-month battle with glioblastoma, facing each day with strength and grace. Deb was a dedicated health consultant who loved her work and took great pride in helping others, but her greatest joy and proudest role was being a mother. She adored her daughters and spoke often of how much she loved her "babies." Her home was filled with music, laughter, and the scent of candles, and she had a special gift for making even ordinary moments feel joyful. She loved deeply — her family, her friends, and her fiancé Andy, who stood faithfully by her side throughout her illness — and her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
