Debra Kay Weaver Kiefat, age 69 of Lakeville MN passed away peacefully on December 6 due to a long battle with dementia. She was born on September 6, 1956 to Hugh Weaver and Sharon Smith and was married to Dave Kiefat on September 24, 1988.

Debra attended Beloit High school and the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse before moving to the Twin Cities. She operated her own recruiting business for 20+ years specializing in the Hospitality industry. After closing shop, Debra worked a few retail jobs and finally retired in 2017.
Debra enjoyed writing, art, gardening and playing games-especially Scrabble. She was also a dog mom to 6 different Whippets and was active in various 12-step programs

Debra is survived by her husband Dave. Siblings Pam (Mike) Kritz, Don (Jane) Hoffmann, Susan (Duane) Craw, Pam (Kraig) Keister and Mike Hoffmann. Numerous nieces and nephews, and 2 Whippets Smokey and Farley.
Preceded in death by her father Hugh Weaver and mother Sharon Hoffmann, along with her precious Whippets Rockford, Pepper, Jack and Richard.

A service will be held on December 16, 2025 11 AM at the White Funeral Home in Lakeville MN. Visitation is starting at 10.
