DELORES ESTHER FROELICH "DEE" BORN MINNEAPOLIS MN JUNE 19, 1932 DIED JANUARY 21 2025 Beloved mother, cherished grandmother, loved aunt and friend to so many. Preceded in death by parents Esther and Donald, sister Donna, brother Dickie, husband Walter and son Keith. Survived by son Bradford, daughter Cindy (Mike) Marks, grandson Ryan (Elizabeth) Marks, many dear relatives and friends.
A 1950 graduate of South High, Dee was a talented artist who painted landscapes, portraits and 61 bird houses. She also played the accordion, piano and organ. She loved black and white film classics, Willie Nelson, Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams and New Orleans jazz. An avid reader, Dee loved biographies and memoirs because, she said, " What's more interesting than people?" Dee's kindness was expressed to acquaintances, strangers, family and friends through compliments, coupons, candy bars and hugs. She frequently entertained her family with tasty meals. She baked delicious cookies , cakes and blueberry muffins. When we were low, she'd softly say, " It'll be ok." Dee loved birds, especially cardinals and their brilliant crimson plumage. Chickadees nested in her birdhouse and crows called out to her.For decades Dee had pet parakeets. She especially treasured Wally Francis, her sunny yellow parakeet. Dee was especially devoted to The Blessed Mother Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe. Dee also loved traveling, to Arizona (with her dear husband Wally) and Los Angeles (to visit her son Keith) and Florida to visit family. She will be deeply mourned and missed by her family and friends but we must remember that Dee will be greeted by Wally, her beloved spouse of 43 years and her son Keith of 68 years.) Well done faithful and good servant. Heaven is welcoming a bright new angel. We love you Dee Dee.
