Diane C. Johnson
(May 11,1940 – March 26,2022)
Diane C. "Rauschnot" Johnson, age 81, of Burnsville passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family. Diane was a proud nurse who worked at Abbott Northwestern Hospital for 43 years. She had a natural gift of always serving people, which was exemplified through mentoring and being an advocate to many nurses, and through her sharing her wisdom and experience gained over the years. Her gift of leadership not only served the nurses on staff at Abbott Northwestern, but also across the state as an active leader of the Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA).
Diane was a loving supportive mother who pushed her five children to work hard and always strive to do their best. Her legacy will live on through her four surviving children and the generations to come. Mom was always up for travel, a good book, family time at the lake, her various shows, and a good story, even though it might be slightly exaggerated. She was a loving grandmother to her seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Diane is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years Warren E Johnson; daughter Michele Sharifi; parents, Charles and Hilda Rauschnot, and sister Carol Rauschnot. Diane is survived by her brother Fredrick Rauschnot; children Michael (Lisa) Taylor, Robin (Chris) Taylor, Sandra (Endre) Bacsa, Warren (Dianna) Johnson; grandchildren Anita, Armon, Aron, Colton, Anna, Chase, and Andrew; great grandchildren Aiden and Ava, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends especially her best friend of over 35 years Kathy Taggert.
