Donna Lee (Perkins) Bailey, age 83 of Lakeville, passed away May 19, 2026. Born September 8, 1942, at St. Joseph Hospital in Centerville, Iowa to Verl C. and Marvel E. (Withrow) Perkins. Two older sisters Norma Dene and Mary Lou (both deceased).

She lived on the family farm near Exline, Iowa until starting kindergarten when the family moved to Centerville. Graduated from Centerville High School in 1960, where she participated in music groups and Cadettes (girls marching drill team).

After graduation she worked at Iowa Southern Utilities Co. and was a secretary to the General Sales Manager.

She married Wendell W. Bailey on October 26, 1963, at the Christian Church in Centerville. To this union two sons were born, Scott D. Bailey and Timothy W. Bailey.

She also worked for a Dentist and Optometrist in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She later worked as a Teachers Aide at the Roland-Story (Iowa) Elementary School. She retired in 2004 and moved with her husband to Lincoln, Nebraska in 2006.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Verl and Marvel Perkins; both sisters, Norma Dene Thomas and Mary Lou Morrow, and oldest son, Scott Bailey.

Survived by husband, Wendell W. Bailey; son, Tim (Stacey) Bailey; grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, and Lauryn Bailey, and great-granddaughter, Gia, also by other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
