Dorothy Ikeda DuSold, age 69, passed away on January 22, 2022 in Lakeville, Minnesota. Dorothy is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Douglas DuSold. Dorothy was a devoted mother and is survived by her son Derek (Shawna Jensen) and her daughter, Cassandra (Howard Books). Dorothy delighted in being a grandmother to her three grandsons Myles, Ivan and Max.

Dorothy was born on November 12, 1952 and was the daughter of Ken and Sue Ikeda. She was raised in Knox, Indiana, and went on to earn her bachelors and master's degrees from Valparaiso University and a master's degree from the University of Notre Dame. Dorothy and Doug built a highly successful business together, Healthcare Software, and Dorothy went on to work for other businesses, including Perot Systems, Dell, and most recently Tenet Healthcare.

Dorothy was an accomplished musician, playing piano and flute, as well as writing and recording her own music. Recently she joined the Twin Cities Tango Collective orchestra. Dorothy and Doug spent many happy years perfecting their Argentine Tango dance technique.

Dorothy was an avid gardener, creating beautiful landscapes with her husband, Doug. She loved jigsaw puzzles, games and scrabble and was always up for a challenge, and more often than not, she was the winner. She will be fondly remembered for her keen intellect, vivacious presence and her fiercely competitive nature. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

A celebration of life book will be shared at a memorial to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in honor of Dorothy to a charity of the donor's choice.
