Obituary

Elieen Margaret Yetzer, age 86 of Lakeville, MN passed away peacefully with family at her side on June 16, 2025. Eileen was born on July 6, 1938, in Farmington, MN to Charles and Hilda (nee; Mayer) Wingert. Eileen has fond memories of playing in the Vermillion River with her siblings and friends; she later moved to Monticello where she grew up on a farm with her 10 siblings. Eileen graduated from Monticello High school and was a star drummer in the school band. Eileen married Donald Yetzer on July 19, 1958, at Assumption Catholic Church in Richfield, MN.

She enjoyed working as a waitress for Country Kitchen and the Chart House, but most of all loved being a wife and raising her 6 children. She loved to have fun doing everything and enjoyed playing cards, golfing, reading, watching NASCAR, dancing, singing, playing the piano and accordion, and volunteering. But what she enjoyed the most was being with people. Alzheimer's took a lot from Eileen, but not her desire and ability to connect with others, laugh and have fun. We can only imagine what heaven will be like, but one thing is certain: Since Eileen's arrival, it just got a whole lot more fun!

Eileen is preceded in death by her siblings, Agnes Kleve, Thomas, William, and Lawrence (Marcia) Wingert; sister-in-law, Katherine "Kitty" Wingert, also by brothers-in-law, Lawerence Doffing, Albert Kordiak, Henry Loesch, and Robert Gadbois. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald; children, Greg (Mary), Michelle (Alan) Benz, Cindy (Kurt) Weber, Lisa (Clifford) Samuel, Tom, and Bill (Hannah) Yetzer; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Doffing, Mildred Kordiak, Hilda Loesch, Betty Gadbois, Ed (Kitty), and Steve (Crystal) Wingert; sister-in-law, Marcia Wingert, also many nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Wednesday July 2, 2025, at All Saints Catholic Church, 19795 Holyoke Ave., Lakeville, MN with a gathering of family and friends starting at 10 AM, at church. Interment, All Saints Church Cemetery.
