Elaine Irene McGovern, age 88 of Farmington, MN passed away on August 16, 2025. Elaine was born on June 17, 1937, at her home in Webster, MN to Albert and Dorothea (nee; Meinke) Meyer, after high school she worked for different companies, becoming a bookkeeper for Red Owl, Farmington Schools and Empire Township for many years, before her retirement.

Elaine is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Clayton; siblings, Donald (Shirley) Meyer, Ellen (Robert) Kodadek, and Lorna (Joe) Docken, and her K-9 friend/service dog, Rilee. She is survived by her daughters, Colleen and Kim McGovern; sister-in-law; Virginia (Jerry) Shilt, and other family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the Farmington Lutheran Church, 20600 Akin Rd, Farmington, gathering of family and friends starting at 10 AM. Interment; Corinthian Cemetery, Farmington. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family to provide veterinary care for Colleen's support dog Izzy.
