Elaine G Ness

Elaine Ness passed away at her home in Apple Valley, Minnesota, on February 28, 2025, at the age of 92.

Elaine was born on July 7, 1932, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to Ella and Gayhard Barsness. Her father died when she was only two years old, and from the age of eight, she was raised in Humbird, Wisconsin, by her mother and stepfather, Hugh Terrell. After graduating from high school, she worked in Eau Claire for a short time until she married Vaughn Ness at the age of 18.

Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was beloved by those who knew her due to her kindness, warmth, generosity, and good sense of humor. She was a follower of Jesus Christ and demonstrated many selfless acts of love to those around her. She cherished most, the time spent with her family, and she was always a delightful travel companion on her frequent trips with them.

Elaine's legacy will live on through the hearts she touched and the memories she helped create. Her spirit of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn Ness, and her son, Steven Ness. She is survived by her children Brian (Kimberly) Ness, Nancy Ness, Kevin (Rae) Ness, Julie (Doug) Thomas, daughter-in-law Becky Ness, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and sister Lorraine Wright.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 11 AM at White Funeral Home in Lakeville, MN.  Visitation is from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service.
