Elicia "Ellie" Marie Blazer, age 40, of Apple Valley, passed away on February 4, 2026. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jim Schaffer, and her grandmother, Audry Bruchez.

Ellie is survived by her husband, Matt; her children, Mason, Charley, and Emerson, whom she deeply loved and who were the love of her life; her parents, Dennis and Bethe Bruchez; her sister, Jackie (Carrington) Dillon, and their children, James and Claire; her grandfather, Edward Bruchez, and his wife, Betty Scott; grandmother Beverly Schaffer and other loving relatives and friends.

Ellie had a deep love of music of all genres and could sing along to just about any song. She especially loved the oldies. She enjoyed the outdoors and cherished memories of camping trips with her family as a child. Some of her favorite memories were made at her aunt Suzie and uncle Keven's cabin with her cousins—gathered around the campfire, laughing, and having water balloon fights. She loved reading so much that at one point her father drove nearly 100 miles from their campsite just to get her another book.

Ellie had an old soul and cared deeply about kindness and compassion toward others. She always had a smile, a hug, and a beautiful laugh that could make anyone feel better. When Ellie walked into a room, it truly lit up with her presence.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she gave so freely and the light she brought into the lives around her. Fittingly, the name Ellie means light.
