George Meyer, age 89, of Burnsville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on August, 6, 2026 Preceded in death by wife Rita, grandson Brandon, Parents Harry and Nette.

George is survived by; his sons, Tom (Jacquie) Meyer and Mike Meyer; his cherished grandchildren, Nick (Sarah), Kevin, Nicholas, Mindy (Jake), and his great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Payton, Mason, Lena, and Tikka. Sister Arlene Wood.  He is also survived by his in-laws, Lloyd Poepping, Patricia Berling, and Lyla Berling, along with other loving relatives and friends.

George was known as a devoted caregiver to his family and friends. His family meant everything to him, and he especially adored his grandchildren, cherishing the time he spent with them. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

George had a great love for the outdoors. He loved being at the lake and spending time on the water. Whether it was fishing, or boat riding they were all good.

George was a software engineer for Lockheed Martin. He participated in many important projects for the defense of our country such as GPS and Patriot Missile Guidance.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday August, 17th 2026, at 11:00 AM at Mary, Mother of the Church, 3333 Cliff Road East, Burnsville, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held from 10:00–11:00 AM prior to the Mass at the church.

Interment of ashes will take place at All Saints Cemetery.
