Gerald J. Bauer, 89, of Farmington, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his home on July 7, 2026.

Gerald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy; his son, Tom; his grandson, Jon; and his brother, Willie Bauer.

He is survived by his children, Terry Bauer, Tracy Bauer and his wife, Jackie, and Peggy Bauer; his grandchildren, Sarah (Nate), Jamie (Matt), Sam, Zach (Lindsey), Jakob, Kane (Emelie), Katie Jo (Cole), Jenna (Mitch), and Brett; 11 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Judy Nordvik and Jean Jensen; along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

Jerry was proud of his Farmington roots and the community he called home throughout his life. He dedicated more than 30 years of service to the City of Farmington and also volunteered for many years with the Farmington Fire Department. Jerry especially enjoyed coaching youth baseball and made a lasting impact on countless young athletes and families throughout the community.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at White Funeral Home, 901 3rd Street, Farmington, MN 55024.
