Gloria Mae Rau, age 71, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026.She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Fred; daughters, Katherine (Tyler) Vande Vorde, Amelia Rau (Brian Barajas), and Elizabeth (Joshua) Lantto; beloved grandchildren, Riley, Lucas, Lauren, and Gracelyn; siblings, Paula (Ron) Betz, Nick Wolf, Laura (Scott) Minnick, Phillip (Chris) Wolf, and Cheryl (Joe) Evans; and other loving family and friends.Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Elaina.Faith and family were at the very heart of Gloria’s life. She was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother, and truly the rock of her family. Her faith guided her throughout her life, and the love she had for her family was evident in everything she did.For the majority of her working life, Gloria worked as a dental hygienist, a career she dedicated herself to for more than 30 years. Outside of work, Gloria loved to bake and cook and also enjoyed reading, sewing, and playing golf. Some of her favorite times were spent at the lake in northern Wisconsin, surrounded by the people and places she loved.Gloria will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but the love, faith, and strength she shared with her family will remain a lasting part of her legacy.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4625 125th St. W., Savage, MN 55378. A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the Mass at the church.
