In loving memory of Heidi Revels, a cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother, teacher, coach, colleague, and friend, who passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with lymphoma. Born on April 15, 1970, Heidi’s life was a testament to kindness, dedication, faith, and love.
Heidi is survived by her devoted husband, Keith Revels, with whom she shared 31 years of marriage. Their journey together began on August 19, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and was blessed with three wonderful children: Mikala Jansen (Lucas Jansen), Noah Revels, and Nicolas Revels. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandson, Levi Jansen, who brought immense joy and love to her life.
Family was the greatest joy of Heidi’s life. She loved her husband, Keith, deeply and cherished the life they built together. She was endlessly proud of her children, Mikala, Noah, and Nic, and was always there to support, encourage, and cheer them on. Becoming a grandmother brought Heidi a special kind of joy. She adored her grandson, Levi, and treasured every moment she had with him. Her family was her greatest source of love and pride, and she treasured every opportunity to create memories with the people she loved most, even if it came in the form of “forced family fun.”
Heidi dedicated more than three decades to a career as a special education teacher in the Farmington and Hastings school districts. Her unwavering dedication to her students and her genuine love for helping others left a lasting impact on countless lives. She also shared a passion for athletics as a track and cross country coach, where she mentored young athletes, encouraged them to believe in themselves, and supported them with her characteristic warmth and humor.
Heidi’s hobbies reflected her creative, adventurous, and active spirit and her appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life. She found friendship and joy in her running group, the Sole Sisters. She had a passion for travel and loved exploring with Keith, with a goal of visiting every state park in Minnesota. She also had a deep love for photography, capturing flowers, landscapes, and abandoned buildings, as well as taking the most incredible selfies. Music held a special place in her heart as well. She grew up playing the violin and loved attending concerts. She loved trying different crafts, including knitting, paint-by-number, and various coloring books. She found joy in creating, learning, and always having a project to work on.
Her faith was at the center of who Heidi was. She loved Jesus deeply, and her relationship with Him shaped the way she lived, loved, and cared for others. Her faith gave her strength throughout her life and remained a source of comfort and hope during her final days.
The last Bible verse Heidi wrote was: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
She added a note to the verse, writing, “You can rely on Him as a safe shelter when life feels overwhelming.” Those words have been held especially close to our hearts as we have navigated the days since her passing. They are a beautiful reflection of the faith Heidi carried throughout her life and a reminder to us to continue to rely on Jesus.
Above all, Heidi will be remembered for the way she made people feel. Her kind smile, boundless love, infectious sense of humor, and encouraging nature touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a gift for making people feel accepted and loved. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life and guided the way she loved others—with compassion, generosity, and without condition.
Heidi is also survived by her father, Robert Raymond, and her siblings, Bryan Raymond (Kelly Raymond) and Jay Raymond (Stephanie Raymond), who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pamela Raymond.
A visitation will be held on October 12, 2026, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at Hosanna Rosemount, 14401 Biscayne Avenue, Rosemount, Minnesota, followed by a service celebrating Heidi’s beautiful life at 3:00 p.m. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Mayo Clinic for the exceptional compassion and care provided to Heidi and her loved ones throughout her illness.
Heidi will be remembered for her unconditional love, unwavering faith, and the joy she brought to the lives of those around her. Her greatest legacy is found not only in the lives of her family, students, athletes, and friends, but in the countless people who are better because they had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
