Jacob Burdick, beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2025, at the age of 16. Jacob was born on 7.29.2008 to Robert and Amy Burdick.

He is survived by his sister, Samantha Slavik, brother, Lee Burdick; and a devoted circle of family members, including his grandparents Angela (Charles) Dodge, Cadene Burdick, William (Carol) Burdick, and Edward Velardi Jr. Jacob was also cherished by his aunts and uncles, Mary (Andre) Frizat, Edward (Vernadette) Velardi, Michelle (Jason) Olson, Nicholas ( Julianne ) Velardi, Rachel Velardi and his many cousins, Kathryn, Alexander, Jayden, Dylan, Logan, Renee, Erin and Vincent.

Jacob was a kind soul with a love for adventure and the outdoors. He attended Eagan High School, where he was known for his easygoing personality and enthusiasm for sports and nature. As a young boy, Jacob spent his summers camping with cousins and friends, creating lasting memories and forging strong bonds. His love for the outdoors extended to sports as well. Jacob played hockey for two seasons before discovering his true passion for skiing, particularly at Buck Hill, where he could always be found on the slopes during the winter months.

Jacob also had a love for music, playing guitar, and was a regular at Lebanon Hills Park and Trapp Farm Park, where he enjoyed watching the sunset while riding his bike. His appreciation for life's simple joys was evident to all who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held on August 15th, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Lebanon Hills Park, Lake Jensen picnic shelter, 1350 Carriage Hills Drive , Eagan, MN 55123 .  The gathering will continue until sunset, when there will be a moment of silence in honor of Jacob's memory.

Jacob will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
