James E. Shaughnessy, age 79 of Lakeville, passed away on July 6, 2022. Jim proudly served his country in the US Army. He retired in 2003 from Lockheed Martin after 35 years. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Bertha (Mac), and brother, Donald.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Charlene; children, Ryan, and Laura (John) Grundmeier, grandsons, Brandon and Dylan, also by other family and friends. Jim took great pride in his yard and enjoyed working on it.  He also enjoyed projects around the house.  Other hobbies included fishing, movies and walking.

Jim loved watching his children and grandchildren playing sports.  Jim was a social person who enjoyed interacting with his coworkers, neighbors and friends.

Jim was an animal lover who had many cats throughout the years.  He also fed the birds and squirrels throughout the seasons.

Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday July 11, 2022 at the White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Tr., Lakeville with a visitation starting at 10 AM. Interment, Fort Snelling Cemetery at a later date.
