Obituary

Janice Arlene (Boreen) Heveron, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 30th, 2025, in West St Paul, MN.

Born on April 17th, 1944, Jan grew up in rural Minnesota and often told stories of when she and her friend, Corky would walk to town, while singing songs and "pretending to be missionaries."

It was here in Grove City where Jan met Dennis Heveron.  They married in 1962 and moved to Milton, FL, while Denny was stationed at Whiting Field and Jan became a proud Navy wife.

When they returned to Minnesota in 1968, they settled in Lakeville, MN to raise their three boys, who were definitely Jan's pride and joy. Jan enjoyed reading, gardening, playing cards and caring for those boys.  She was a talented seamstress and often gifted the boys with homemade clothing which they didn't appreciate nearly as much as they should have! Jan held several administrative positions during her career and she especially enjoyed her time at Bachman's, where she was employed from 1985-2011.

Jan and Denny enjoyed traveling and took many road trips with close friends and family to Lake Havasu, Arizona and to Florida. "Don't forget the lime…"  Jan loved a good Rum & Diet Coke during Happy Hour with friends at the Lakeville VFW, Lakeville Family Bowl and Babe's. In her later years, Jan was very appreciative of close family who would visit her and reminisce. Good fellowship with loved ones always made her smile.

Jan is preceded in death by her parents, Mabel (Nelson) and Roy Boreen; her beloved husband, Dennis; her middle son, Jeff; brother, Eugene Boreen; sisters, Jeannette Boreen, Rosalie Larsen, Leona Schultz and daughter-in-law Heather (Jeschke) Heveron.

Jan is loved and fondly remembered by her surviving family, including her sons, Robert Heveron and Kyle (Kirsten) Heveron; granddaughters Emilie Tappe and Rachel (Ryan) Moeller; great-granddaughters Charlotte and Sunnie Tappe; sister Marilyn Stoffers; brothers Rodney (Jolaine) Boreen and Larry (Nancy) Boreen; many nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly, as well as other relatives and long-time friends. She will forever live in our hearts.

Jan's Funeral Service with be held Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at White Funeral Home, located at 14560 Pennock Avenue, Apple Valley, MN, with Visitation one hour prior to the Service. A Reception at the Apple Valley Legion will immediately follow.
