Jeanne Marie
Barron
May 30, 1930 — Mar 19, 2025
Burnsville
Barron, Jeanne Marie (McLaughlin) Jeanne Marie Barron of Burnsville, Minnesota passed away peacefully at home on March 19th, 2025, at the age of 94. Jeanne was a dedicated homemaker, a dear friend, and loving wife to Jack Barron for 31 years until his death in 1990. She was a devoted mother to her three children, Andy, Matt and Amy.
Jeanne was born in Minneapolis and graduated High School from St. Margaret's Academy in 1948, where many of her early- and lifelong friendships were formed. She and Jack were married in 1959 and began their life together living in Bloomington before they built a home in Burnsville where they raised their children. Jeanne loved to entertain family and friends including their close group of Supper Club friends, with whom they gathered monthly throughout their marriage. She and Jack hosted an annual Christmas Tree decorating party that was the highlight of the year for many. Jeanne was an avid reader and her daily ritual of reading the newspaper with a cup of tea was never missed. She loved to travel, visiting friends and family across the US, and fulfilled a lifelong dream trip to Ireland with her daughter Amy in 1995.
Jeanne's family would like to acknowledge the incredible care and love provided by Keri Smith over the last few years. Keri has been an integral part of Jeanne's everyday life, supporting the upkeep of her home, providing personal- and medical care, daily companionship, and she always prioritized getting Jeanne's home properly decorated for every holiday. Keri was much more than a Health Provider; she was a dear and trusted friend for whom the family is incredibly grateful.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Katherine McLaughlin, husband Jack Barron, and sister Rita Gruber. She is survived by her children; Andy (Sherrie) Barron, Matt Barron, and Amy (Erroll) Foy, Grandchildren Jack Barron and Alex (Matt) Douvier, Luke and Tom Barron, and Caroline and Grace Foy, and Great-Granddaughter Peyton Douvier.
