Obituary

Jerry Anderson was born on February 20, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Kenneth and Inez Anderson. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1962 before attending the University of Minnesota.

Jerry began his career in the grocery business as a carryout boy and worked his way into management. He managed Red Owl, Jerry's Foods, and Cub Foods stores throughout the Twin Cities. Jerry also proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for 13 years.

On October 28, 1967, Jerry married the love of his life, Geneva Gross. Together they were blessed with two children, Jennifer (Eric) and Joe (Jennifer), and ten grandchildren: Hannah, Hope, Haven, Will, Abe, Moses, Jojo, Jada, Joey, and Johnny.

Jerry was a devoted follower of Christ and a faithful member of his church, where he served as an usher and volunteered in food service.

One of Jerry's favorite gospel lyrics was:
"I'm learning to live, and I'm learning to die. One of these days, I'll be learning to fly."
Today, we rejoice knowing that Jerry is soaring high. He has received his wings and is now in the presence of his Savior.
