Jimmy Curtis
Leske
Nov 13, 1943 — Mar 4, 2026
Rosemount
Jimmy Curtis Leske, age 82, of Rosemount, Minnesota, and previously a longtime Farmington resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 4, 2026. Jimmy was born in Stillwater, Minnesota, to Curtis and Eleanor Leske and grew up in Oakdale. Following his graduation from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, he served four years in the United States Air Force.
Jimmy built a proud 42-year career at Flint Hills Refinery, where his hard work, skill, and dependability earned the respect of those around him. Outside of work, he cherished time with family, cross-country travel, fishing and camping trips, and special trips to Hawaii. A meaningful highlight of his international travels was visiting the beaches of Normandy, France, and other historic World War II sites.
Jimmy will be remembered for his remarkable talent to construct, remodel, or repair almost anything, the joy he found in time spent outdoors with those he loved, and above all, his unwavering commitment to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Leske; his children Diane Kisch (Steve), Shannon Olson (Brad), and Steven Leske (Aleta); his five grandchildren, Alex, Nick, Annika, Nathan, and Samuel; and his brothers Bill, George, and Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Shirley Strickland and Mary Hills.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 31 at Hosanna Church in Lakeville, Minnesota, with visitation at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Bardo Hospice in Inver Grove Heights, whose compassionate team provided Jimmy with a peaceful sanctuary and exceptional care. Our family will always be grateful for their loving care and the peace and dignity they brought to Jimmy's final days.
