Joanne Charlier, age 85 of Apple Valley, MN passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026. Joanne was born on February 17, 1941, in Harvard, Illinois to Clint and Ruth Dooley. She spent her early years in Harvard and was a graduate of Harvard High School. She worked for many years before her retirement at Blue Cross/Shield as an administration secretary.

Joanne met Richard Charlier at Northern Illinois University who became the "love of her life" for 62 years.  The newlyweds relocated to Minneapolis, MN starting their lives together and ultimately chose Apple Valley, MN to raise their family.

Joanne enjoyed spending time with her friends and family golfing, bowling, laughing and sharing stories. She most enjoyed telling stories about her two grandsons, Michael and Jacob. Joanne is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard. Survived by her (sons) Mark, Mike and Misty (daughter-in-law) and (grandsons) Michael and Jacob (Danica),

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am at the White Funeral Home, Apple Valley (14560 Pennock Ave) on Friday, April 24, 2026. Visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to service.
