Born April 29, 1934, Joanne died peacefully at Trinity Care home in Farmington, MN. at age 91. She is preceded in death by Don, her husband, Ben, father, and Kay, mother, all of Rosemount.  She is survived by her brother Bob, Bloomington, MN and many cousins. She and Don were among the pioneer founders of the Living Well Disability Services ( formerly Dakota's Children, Inc.) in 1972 and, with her husband Don, raised 3 disabled daughters, Jean, Anne and Lisa. She and Don were tireless in loving and caring for their daughters.

She graduated from Rosemount H.S. in 1952, attended the Univ. of  MN, and was a paralegal with McMenomy, Hertogs and Fluegel law firm for many years. She enjoyed sewing, music and genealogy. She was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church choir.
