Kildahl, Joel, age 68, of Burnsville, passed away October 5, 2026. Preceded in death by parents and older brother. Joel worked for Kraus Anderson Realty in Bloomington for over 30 years, retiring in 2024. He served 6 years with the U.S. Navy and was a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Vikings. He would tune in for every game of the season, with his vocal cords recovering for the rest of the year. A wonderful and loving husband, goofy brother, doting father, awesome uncle, proud grandpa, and amazing friend; he was always willing to help anyone in need and would do all he could to make sure his family was safe and comfortable – his spirit lives on in the hearts of all those who knew him and those he acted as a beacon of light for when he happened to meet them. Much like a lighthouse, Joel exuded a warm glow that helped those closest to him find peace and feel at home, especially with his smile. 

Survived by wife of 30 years, Mary; daughter, Holly (Charles Harris) Kildahl; grandchild, Winnie Johnson-Kildahl-Harris; sister, Cheryl (Russ) Curtis; nephew, Matthew Curtis; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 11am at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave. S., Burnsville, MN. Visitation will be at 10am. Memorials/Donations preferred to the family of Joel Kildahl.
