Joyce Marie
Schueller
Feb 20, 1939 — Sep 2, 2026
Lakeville
Joyce M. Schueller (Dopkins), of Lakeville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on September 2nd, 2026, at the age of 87. A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and proud great-grandmother, Joyce leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family and memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Marvin and Dolores; her four brothers, Charles, Jerry, Kenny and Roy; and her son-in-law, Steve Olson. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, Leo; her children, Diane (Ron) Pottratz, Judy Olson, Jim (Rosie) and Sandy (Jeff) Fye; nine grandchildren, Kevin (Amy) Pottratz, Laura Pottratz, Melissa Fettig, Melanie (Derek) Lafferty, Michele (Bryan) Lukkason, Tanner Schueller, Jason (fiancé Megan) Fye, Brian Fye and Scott Fye; and ten great-grandchildren, Noah, Evan and Landon Fettig; Tyler (fiancé Mia), Gavin and Ellie Lafferty; Leo, Brooks and Beau Lukkason; and Jace Pottratz. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Jensen.
Joyce made her home in Maplewood, Minnesota, for 58 years before moving to Cottage Grove and, most recently, Lakeville, where she spent the past eight years. She was a dedicated employee of JC Penney’s at their Sun Ray store for more than 25 years, creating friendships and memories along the way.
Faith was also an important part of Joyce’s life. She was a long-standing parishioner of Transfiguration Catholic Church in Oakdale, Minnesota, where she found joy in singing with the choir and sharing in the fellowship of her church family.
Joyce’s greatest gift was the love she gave so freely to her family. Her presence, her kindness and the memories she created will continue to live on through the many generations she leaves behind.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.
