Obituary

Juanita (Nita) Anne Thomas (5/24/1927-09/17/2026) died peacefully at home surrounded by her two Children and 2 of her Grandchildren on 9/17/2026 at the age of 99. 

She was proceeded in death by her loving husband George (Bill) Thomas of 77 years. Her Father: Nunley Vinson, Mother: Willa Simmerman Vinson, Brothers: Julian and Curtis(Eleanor) Vinson, Sisters: Irene (Rick) Everhart and Audrey (Bill) Boyer. 

Survived by her two children Lynn Anne Thomas Hoffman and George W Thomas Jr, daughter in law Kathy Smith, Grandchildren: Faith (Thom) Calvin, Jason Nelson, Deborah Thomas, Joseph Thomas and Steven (Lexy) Thomas and Great Grands: Caigen (Clover) Calvin, Lexi (Mitchell) Clendenen, Harleigh (TJ) Rempfer and Scotlyn Thomas.

Our Mother was a loving, thoughtful and kind person who will be missed every day. 

She began married life in Maryland then Pennsylvania where she supported Bill thru College. After graduation they moved to Panama City, Fl where their children were born. When George was just a baby they moved to Corona, California where they raised their children and enjoyed many hobbies together including painting classes, sewing, camping, square dancing and every activity involving their church First Church of God. They purchased a small Microfilm company and worked side by side thru many years of Trade shows taking them to every state in the US except for Alaska. They also traveled to Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Nassau Bahamas, France, Germany, The Netherlands and Switzerland. In 1979 they moved their business to Minnesota to be near the daughter Lynn's children Faith and Jason Nelson. They stayed till Faith and her husband Thom moved the Grands to Colorado. They Packed up again and moved back to Southern California first Little Rock then Lancaster to be there for George's Children. They remained there until October before Covid when Lynn convinced them to come live with her in Burnsville, MN. where they stayed till Our Lord called them Home a little over a year apart. 

As per her will any memorial should be donated in her name to Wounded Warriors Project.
