Obituary

Judy Ann Abrams of Apple Valley, MN passed away November 18, 2020.  Judy was born February 16, 1950 to Donald and Marie Abrams in Mason City, IA along with her twin sister and best friend for life, Jane Marie.

Judy graduated from Northwood Kensett High School, IA in the "Class of '68".  She moved to Minneapolis, MN and obtained a degree from the Minnesota School of Business as a Legal Secretary  She worked for the University of Minnesota as a legal secretary for the University Attorneys and the teacher placement office.  Later life, Judy returned to obtain her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Minnesota.

Judy married Steven Davis in 1972.  Judy and Steve were blessed with three children: Cassandra Allison, Heather Leah, and Jerad Abrams – and the family was known as "The Five Bears".  Judy was an excellent mother, doting on her children and always involved with their activities from the PTA to dance to sports.

As much as Judy loved being a mother, being "Grams" was her true joy in life.  Judy bestowed her love and affection upon Mackenize Ann, Isabella Marie, Abigayle Joy, Eva Marie, Nicholas James, Leah Allison, and great grandson Hudson Kye.  She went to every gymnastics meet, basketball game, dance competition, and snowboarding meet they were at and was their biggest cheerleader and supporter.  Her grandkids could do no wrong in Grams eyes and there was never too much Abdallah candy.

Judy enjoyed her family the most with Sunday dinners once a month being an important event along with all the holidays.  Nothing was grander in Judy's home than Christmas and Christmas decorations.  There was a minimum of three Christmas trees in the house and enough Hallmark decorations for her house and five more.  She has passed this avocation to both of her daughters.  Going Hallmark shopping the day after Christmas became a family ritual.

Judy's other passion was her yard and flower beds.  Tulips and peonies were her favorites.  Judy was an avid reader, loved puzzles, traveling, scuba diving, margaritas with olives, and she had a great sense of humor.  She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Marie, her brothers Robert and Kenneth. Judy is survived by her twin sister Jane (brother in law Jim) Schroeder, her soul mate Steven Davis, her children Cassandra Kvale (grandchildren Mackenzie, Abigayle, Isabella and great grandson Hudson), Heather Davis (grandchildren Eva, Nicholas, and Leah) , and Jerad Davis.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday November 24 th at the White Funeral Home at 14560 Pennock Ave in Apple Valley MN.  Visitation begins at noon with a Catholic service following at 2:00 PM.  Interment will be at a later date.
