Karen Ann Fischer,age 70, of Minneapolis, died at her home because of a fall April 13, 2026. Karen was born on November 16, 1955, in Pomona, California to Charles and Amy Fischer who preceded her in death. She moved with her family at a young age to Minneapolis where she graduated from Roosevelt High School. She had a variety of jobs but most recently she worked for the State of Minnesota Unemployment Insurance Program from which she retired. Karen had a deep affection for cats and provided a loving home for many of them during her life. She is survived by her sister Cindy (Scott) Olson; nieces Angela Olson and Amy Olson; aunt Edna Fischer; and many cousins. Many thanks to her neighbors the Madison family and Dr. Sharon Golden who helped Karen in many ways. Memorials are requested to the Animal Humane Society or your favorite animal shelter. Services are yet to be determined.
