Kirk Hazlett Sr., age 88, of Burnsville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 21, 2025.
Raised by Samual and Evelyn Hazlett, Kirk grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and attended Central High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, Kirk attended the University of Minnesota. He met his wife Meredythe on a blind date in 1960, and they shared more than 65 years of marriage.
Kirk was a career salesman that owned and operated his own business with his wife, Meredythe, for more than 30 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and sailing. Kirk was known for his remarkable ability to tell stories and to connect with everyone he met. His unmatched generosity and warm spirit made him a devoted family man who treasured time spent with his large and loving family.
Kirk is survived by his brothers Dick and Greg, his wife Meredythe; his three children, Tom (Tara), Debbie Kaiser (Greg), and Mark (Shannon), his daughter-in-law Deb; his twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Carlson and Lee Stovall and his son, Kirk Hazlett Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on January 16th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Burnsville, Minnesota. A lunch reception will immediately follow at the Church.
