Obituary

Lawrence "Larry" Philip Coon, 75, passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2025, following a heart attack. Born on May 2, 1949, to Leslie and Grace Coon in Minneapolis, MN, Larry later moved with his family to Eden Prairie, MN. There, he graduated from high school and pursued further education in the surrounding area

Larry had a passion for many things, especially his love for family, friends, and fishing. As our favorite boat captain, he cherished his time in Florida and Minnesota, always on the lookout for the big catch. Larry was always ready to lend a hand, dedicated to maintaining lifelong friendships, and quick to make new ones wherever he went. A devoted Catholic, Larry was deeply committed to his faith, regularly attending Mass and participating in church activities. He found great comfort and strength in his relationship with Jesus, and his faith was a guiding light throughout his life. Larry surrendered his life to Jesus, living out his beliefs with unwavering devotion

He is survived by his wife Karen Coon (Ebensteiner); their children, Susan Synder, Tom Coon and wife Shaina, Chad Melton and wife Becky, Ashley Holappa and husband Patrick; grandchildren, Hunter and wife Eleanor, Paige, Dylan, Hayden, Garrett, Max, Ethan, Spencer, Sawyer, Reagan, Luke and Sheila; great grandson Arthur; siblings Carol Saefke (Coon), Brad Coon and wife Mary, Patricia Brown (Coon), David Coon and wife Sonja.
