Lakeville

Obituary

Our dearly loved mother and grandmother, age 81, of Lakeville, MN, passed away on August 17, 2025. Linda was born and raised in central Illinois with her family but relocated to Minnesota after meeting the love of her life, Marvin, and starting a family. Linda and Marvin raised their children in Lakeville and were heavily involved in all things that Heidi and Michael enjoyed. As a family, they enjoyed traveling in their motorhome and going on snowmobile trips. As the grandkids came along, you would not meet a more proud grandmother. Linda never got tired of telling people about her children's and grandchildren's accomplishments.

Linda served the majority of her life as a faithful homemaker. But was heavily involved in volunteer work throughout the community, examples of some are: running the Scandinavian dinner at church, driving for Meals on Wheels, being a staple in the church community as well as an important member of the Lakeville snowmobile club.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Especially going out to eat with the friends' circle, or for a spa day getting her nails done with family. She was a woman that had a great sense of humor and wasn't afraid to jokingly give someone a hard time.  Linda was a friend and family member that was always up on the latest news, if anyone needed to know information, they called Linda. When Linda wasn't busy volunteering, keeping up with the news, or running around with family or friends, you could find her sitting enjoying the weather, birds, or wildlife.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents George and Mabel, her husband Marvin; her daughter, Heather Joanna; her grandson, Taylor; her twin brother Larry (Lynda), and her brother Robert. Linda is survived by her daughter Heidi (Drew) Knight, son Michael (Krysia); grandchildren Haylie, Alijah, Grace, Kaydence, Carson, and Shana; her sister Joyce (Laverne) Hinthorne, her brother Rick (Cheryl) Finck; and many other relatives and friends.

There will be a Funeral Service Wednesday, August 20th, 2025, at 11:00am, with a Visitation one hour prior to the Service at St. John's Lutheran Church, located at 20165 Heath Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044.  The Internment will take place at Lakeville Grove Cemetery.  As we celebrate Linda's life, please feel free to wear bright colors, as that is what Linda loved.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St John's Lutheran Church in Lakeville, or a charity of your choice.
